ARCH HORIZON WON FIRST PLACE IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION OF THE 44TH WORLD HERITAGE CONFERENCE

Selected from a pool of several hundred international teams, Arch Horizon’s first place winning proposal envisions a design that reverence for history and culture.  The design seeks to preserve as much original structure as possible and when necessary interventions are needed, inspirations from the original building and other historic rammed earth buildings of the area.

The entire architecture will be restored, conserved and transformed to activate the historic rammed earth buildings, thus inherit culture, and as a new highlight of tourism development.  Therefore, the most distictive aspects of rammed earth buildings are repaired and restored as they are.  In terms of renovation, it refers to the architectural image of the historic rammed earth building combined with contemporary aesthetics and according to the needs of B&B functions, implents low-cost and low intervention reconstruction.  The integration of architecture and nature in the design make it an ecological and cultural leisure resort
